Klingon Bird of Prey

There are actually two types of Bird of Prey. There is the small 12 man crew B'rel class, and there is the larger K'Vort class Bird of Prey battlecruiser. The Klingon Bird of Prey is a scout ship. It is equipped with a cloaking device and is capable of warp speed. Heavily armed for a ship of it's size, the Bird of Prey has a centrally mounted photon torpedo in it's nose and phaser cannons and guns on the wing tips. The Bird of Prey is capable of atmospheric landings on planets surfaces, an advantage it has over the larger Federation Star Ships. The large wings are also moveable to facilitate landings and weapons use. The Klingon Bird of Prey is used by the Klingon defense force in consort with two different types of battle cruiser and the far larger Vor'cha class attack cruiser. Swift, maneuverable and at times invincible, the Klingon Bird of Prey is a formidable adversary if so provoked. The Federation does not take their presence lightly.  The Bird of Prey has proven itself to be a quick and powerful fighter, a good adversary that has kept Starfleet on its toes in almost every battle.
