Hope Class

The Hope class starship were designed as a medical ship. Her large internal volume is for cargo or passenger use. These medical ships were design to evacuate crew of marooned starships, deliver refugees of war, and other humanitarian missions. Her design team gave her a new type of engine more advanced than the warp core installed in the Intrepid class but still less efficient than the Sovereign class starships. Since she was not designed for combat uses these ships were given a strong defensive system. She has a very strong deflector and shields. She was given armament as well, but these armaments wee meant for defensive uses not for combat. The Hope class starships are also called the Olympic class but this is unconfirmed.
